- Grant submissions should reflect a readily identified MGB project or deliverable which contains milestones that are readily understood and quantifiable.
- Grant applications will be available online beginning in the first quarter of each calendar year.
- Grant submissions will be evaluated by the Men Giving Back Grant Committee based on the listed criteria and the strength of the proposed project or deliverables.
- Semifinalist organizations will be selected by the Grant Committee, notified by the receipt of a Men Giving Back ‘Golden Ball’ with their organization’s name inscribed, and invited to attend the November award ceremony, known as the Golden Grants Evening.
- At the event, representatives from the semifinalist organizations drop their golden ball into a “cage” similar to what you would see at a lottery drawing.
- 12 lucky organizations will have their golden ball drawn from the cage and become eligible to win one of the evening’s major grant awards, up to $100,000.
- All organizations attending the event walk away with grant money, divided across three tiers, semi-finalists, finalists, and major grant winners.
- Any organization receiving a major grant will not be eligible for the major grant for the following two years.
